The Law Foundation of Saskatchewan (LFS), established under The Legal Profession Act, 1990, inspires and supports initiatives that advance justice through better access, increased knowledge, and innovation. More background can be found here

 

$3.5 Million in Grants Available

Is There A Project Your Organization Has Been Wanting To Do? This May Be Your Chance!

 

The Law Foundation of Saskatchewan’s Legacy GrantsProgram offers one-time grants of $50,000 or more (no upper limit) to non-profit organizations or registered charities. Individuals and commercial enterprises are not eligible. A total of $3.5 million dollars is available.

 

Eligible projects will:

  • have a legal education, legal research, legal aid, law libraries or law reform objective, and/or provide access to justice services.
  • not cannot exceed three years in duration
  • primarily benefit Saskatchewan residents.    

 

How to apply?

If your project might be eligible, please submit the Expression of Interest form to the Law Foundation. In the form, please provide a concise overview of the proposed project with enough detail to enable the Foundation to determine if the proposal will advance to the second stage of the application process.

 

The Foundation welcomes new and innovative ideas from a broad diversity of organizations. It values collaborations between groups, broad geographic and demographic distribution of funds across the province, and effective methods of measuring impact.

 

The form must be sent to: info@lawfoundation.sk.ca by October 31, 2024.

 

Please use 10-point or larger font and put “Legacy Grant” in the subject line. Do not send attachments. If your project is selected to proceed, the Foundation will provide further details, terms and conditions. All applicants will be contacted regarding their application status.

 

The standard Law Foundation of Saskatchewan grant Terms & Conditions and Grant Funding Policies apply. All projects must meet the mandate of the Foundation.The Legacy Grants are in addition to any existing grants from the Foundation.
